Enjoy Now, Pay Later Installment Plan.  Afterpay is a payment option available for online orders valued between $35 and $1,000, upon approval, and is Interest Free! Afterpay allows customers shop at Chi-Wee's Boutique, purchase, have their online orders shipped to them, and pay this order off over four equal installments, with the initial payment of 25%, due at the time of purchase.

How Does It Work:

  1. Find an Item that you want to purchase, then select ‘Afterpay’ as your payment method during checkout.
  2. Login or Register with Afterpay and follow the prompts to complete your purchase.   
  3. Items will be shipped to you according to Chi-Wee's Boutique Shipping Policy, but before 2 weeks. 
  4. Pay 4 fortnightly installments, with the initial payment of 25% due upon purchase. 

Afterpay Payment Process

  1. Placing and Order:  The Afterpay payment process commences at the point when the customer has left the Merchant’s website and reached the ‘Checkout with Afterpay.’  The email address of the Customer is used by Afterpay to recognise whether the customer is new to Afterpay or an existing Afterpay customer. An existing Afterpay customer will need to enter their password to proceed.
  2. New Afterpay Customers: Following the Checkout with Afterpay page, the customer will be asked to verify their mobile phone number. They will be texted a code which they will need to correctly enter before they can proceed.  Finally, the consumer will need to provide account profile information (name, date of birth, residential address) before a payment summary page is displayed. The customer will need to enter card payment details to confirm the order. Afterpay will perform data validation checks to ensure the details are entered correctly and that the card expiry date is beyond the date of the final payment date.
  3. Existing Afterpay Customers: Following the Checkout with Afterpay page, the customer will be prompted to log in using their Afterpay password. They are able to set up a new password by selecting the ‘Forgot your Password?’ link.

    Once logged on successfully, a payment summary is displayed. The customer is able to view their payment schedule from this page. The customer will be able to choose either, an existing card, or to enter new card payment details to pay for the order. The customer is then able to submit the order to Afterpay by selecting the ‘Confirm’ button.
    Afterpay will carry out Credit Card validation and determine the risk associated with the order before a determining whether to Approve or Decline the order.
  4. Approved Orders:  When an order is approved by Afterpay, the customer is directed back to the Merchant’s successful order confirmation screen.
    For approved orders, an order confirmation email is sent from Afterpay to the customer. Afterpay will also send an order confirmation email to the Merchant if configured to receive these.
  5. Abandoned Orders: If the customer abandons the process before placing the order e.g. by closing the Afterpay screen, the customer is directed back to the Merchant’s website.
    As no order has been placed, Afterpay does not issue any communication to the customer or to the Merchant.
  6. Declined Orders:  If an order fails Afterpay’s order assessment criteria,
    • the customer will be directed back to the merchant website’s checkout page with potential reasons for the decline.
    Please be aware that Afterpay does not approve all orders. The most common reasons for an order being declined by Afterpay is due to following:
    • the customer not having sufficient funds on their card
    • the customer not entering their card details correctly
    As no order has been placed, Afterpay does not issue any communication to the customer or to the Merchant.
  7. Cancelling An Order:  To cancel an order, the Merchant should issue a refund for the full value of the order through the Afterpay Merchant Portal. 
  8. Modifying An Order: Once Afterpay has approved an order, the order details and order value cannot be changed.
    The Merchant is able to issue partial refunds if items are not in stock or cannot be fulfilled for any reason.
    Afterpay does not support the addition of items to an order.
    A customer will need to place a new and separate order for the new items or cancel the previous order and raise a new order for all the items if they wish to use Afterpay to pay for the new items in the same payment schedule.
